Dare to be a Daniel
We recently received the following word from Jane Francis Cheptegei Kipkorir, founder of King of Kings Restoration Ministries, our associate ministry in Uganda.
It is, I believe, a Word for the Church and every believer today – no matter what country they may be in. In the west in particular, with an increasing secular and humanist influence in our governments, the temptation to compromise the Gospel in order to not lose our jobs, charity status, etc., is becoming ever greater.
In countries with a strong welfare state, it is easy to give the duty of care for social welfare to the government, when the Lord gave that responsibility to the Church.
In some countries, the temptation to accept corruption as a “cultural” thing or necessary in order to get things done can be great.
In all countries, it can be a temptation to expect the government to have the answer to poverty, social problems, unrest, violence or even world conflicts – tempting, but false. While governments are certainly given the charge to look after the welfare of their citizens, we need to remember that man does not hold the answer to these problems – unless they are following the Lord.
Here is the Word that I believe deserves study and meditation, with a heart open to what the Lord is saying to you, your church and the Body of Christ as a whole:
Our dear brethren,
In studying the first chapter of the book of Daniel we see the favoured of God being taken from freedom into captivity, not only as a nation, but we see the best of them, the royal line, being deliberately taken aside to be trained by the enemy to serve the enemy‘s purpose of leading the rest of their kindred to bow to the heathen captors and learn to be like them and to serve their heathen gods.
These were the “royal” children separated out from the others in captivity, the best and the brightest, to be taught the language and educated in the ways of their enemy captors. They were to be fed heathen meat and drink their heathen wine. The king, in his guile trying to seduce them completely for his own use, provided all their needs, but Daniel purposed in his heart not to defile himself with the heathen king’s meat. For this he received the favour of God.
We have all heard the saying, “Dare to be a Daniel! Today is the day! We as the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ are being challenged to eat the king’s meat and drink his wine in order to survive, but our Lord gave us His commandments in what we were to ingest into our spirits! His words are spirit and life!
“Come unto me all ye that are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest”… not the state.
“If you serve me I will take sickness and disease from the midst of thee” … not the state.
“I am the Lord that healeth thee” … not the state.
“I am Jehovah Jireh your provider” … not the state.
“He provided a table in the wilderness” … not the state.
“I will never leave thee or forsake thee” … not the state.
Although the worldly authorities are declaring they are your provider and healer and friend, there is only One who truly is. Be strong in these days of trial, declaring the works of the Lord! There is no God like our God.
This worldwide seduction is a spiritual battle, but the battle is the Lord’s, stand with Him and you will see the glory of the Lord! What we have seen in the spiritual realm and what is happening in the physical, especially in the body of Christ, is that God has been raising up, and is now positioning a new army.
Thanks let’s press on with integrity.

mmmh that’s truly the rhema word for thy season personally having known that servant of God the wilderness experience she’s been through those are words from a spiritual authority under the horn anointing echoing the current world systems, government and bureaucracies compared to the time of captivity in babylon. to be precise and concise it ‘s awake up call for a paradigm shift to denounce compromise in the political spheres versus the christian ethics and liturgy that is massively affecting the church i also resound rare to be a daniel.
