2009 – A year of new beginnings and miracles!

This past year has been an extraordinary time at Mainstream and way beyond anything that we could have imagined.  But we should not be surprised, at just the right time, the Lord moves powerfully to accomplish what He wishes to accomplish!  Praise God.  After all, with God, ALL things are possible!  During the year, the Lord sovereignly brought in invitaions to minister His Word in several countries, and brought us together for the first time with many brothers and sisters here in the UK and around the world.

Additionally, we have had the joy and pleasure of welcoming into affiliation as MCM Fellowship Members, exciting and Spirit-filled ministries in Pakistan, India, the Philippines and several African Countries.  Together, as members of the One Body of Christ, I know the Lord will use these associations to advance the Gospel and build up His People as we share together as in the days of the early Church.

2010 – A new Home and a new Mission

Our offices will close from Saturday, 19th December until Monday, 4th January 2010 to allow us to spend time with our families, and to upgrade essential systems and facilities.  Then, from 1 January, 2010, Mainstream Ministries will have a new address here in the UK, and new Telephone Numbers.  Please make a note of these:

Mainstream Christian Trust

Further, we have also created Mainstream Christian Trust, a charitable company limited by guarantee, Registered at the above addres, Reg. No. 07103561.  As we wish in the New Year to further develop means to help support ministry, and provide a method whereby all income and outgoings are fully transparent and accountable, we felt led to create MCT, much as the Apostles created the first Deacons in Acts 6.

Over the course of the next few weeks and into the new year, the new Directors/Trustees of MCT will be putting together all the necessary systems and facilities, including further registration with the Charities Commission.  After that, we will begin to investigate the various methods in which we feel the Lord is leading us to support ministry in practical and financial ways.  Further information will be posted later.

Mission 2010 – Global Ministry

To meet the requests for ministry, we will be travelling to Cameroon, Nigeria, Pakistan, India, the Philippines, Southern and Eastern Africa during the first half of the year, by God’s Grace.  This will be followed by further ministry in the UK and then with a return to several of the mission countries.

A more complete itinerary and calendar will be posted on the site in the New Year, and would invite you to support us in Prayer for the Lord’s guidance and provision in this important mission.  The theme is taken from 2 Timothy 1: 6-7“Fan into Flame the Gift of God …”, along with the Lord’s call to the Church to return to its First Love (Rev 2: 1-5) and to fulfil the Desire of Christ as He prayed to the Father, “that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.” (John 17: 21)

It is a message the enemy, Satan will not want preached, as he knows a United Body of Christ, moving in the Sacrifical Love of God is unstoppable, and is the Light that shows Jesus to the World, turning them to accept Christ and brings healing to a broken world.  We therefore need your prayers for strength, wisdom, provision and the constant leadership of the Holy Spirit.  Amen.

Prayer Please!

We know that whatever the Lord commissions us to do, He pays for!  We stand on that promise, and know that He has already made provision for every expense for the year ahead – even the one’s we have not yet thought about!  We therefore give Him thanks for that provision, and ask you to stand with us in prayer for Him to reveal the sources He has already prepared.

Please pray as well for us, that the Lord may reveal any areas in which we fall short, so that we may always, and only move in the direction He has planned for us.  We know that in Him all things are possible, but it is important that we do not stand in the way and become an obstacle to what the Lord wishes to do.  In whatever the Lord calls us to do, whether it is ministry, support, provision, or encouragement, we only need to be obedient to His Word and direction, and He will do the rest!  Praise God.

We would like you to pray specifically for the immediate provision of what is needed in the next few weeks – visas, flights and some deposits for equipment, venues and supplies that are needed in the various ministry areas.

A Blessing to you All!

May the Lord pour out His Blessings in abundance on you all, your families and ministries over this wonderful Christmas and New Year Holiday time.  Be assured that our thoughts, prayers and love are with all.  Praise God!
