Directed Steps in 2010

It would be fair to say that for many of us, the beginning of 2010 has not gone according to plan. There may be many individual reasons for this, but for millions of people living in the UK, parts of Europe, Asia and even North America, there was another, unexpected and unpredicted reason – the extreme weather.

Expect the Unexpected

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.   (Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV)

A short time ago I received an email from Pastor Samuel Gunguta, our Ministry Partner in South Africa.  He wrote to us shortly after returning to SA from a relief mission to Zimbabwe.  Almost immediately, the scripture from Ephesians above came to mind.

Dare to be a Daniel

We recently received the following word from Jane Francis Cheptegei Kipkorir, founder of King of Kings Restoration Ministries, our associate ministry in Uganda.

It is, I believe, a Word for the Church and every believer today – no matter what country they may be in.  In the west in particular, with an increasing secular and humanist influence in our governments, the temptation to compromise the Gospel in order to not lose our jobs, charity status, etc., is becoming ever greater.
