Serving Christ, Serving His Church

Mainstream Christian Ministries is a ministry called into being for these last days to PROCLAIM and to BE AN EXAMPLE of “RADICAL CHRISTIANITY”: Christ-Centred, Spirit-Led and Purpose-Driven. Our work and word is based on the example set by the first believers, with a call for the Church today to return to its “First Love”; committed to one another, passionate about the Lord and seeing the Kingdom of God revealed in Power and Glory every day and throughout the world.

This is GOD’S “MAINSTREAM”; not a denomination, church grouping, institution of man, or a social structure based on a secular worldview (the things the world may refer to as “Mainstream”). To the Lord, the “Mainstream” is every Believer, born of the Spirit by accepting Christ personally as only Lord and Saviour; and committed to living in Unity within the Body of Christ in accordance with His Word so that Christ may be Glorified.

One Vision, One Body, Many Parts

Mainstream Ministries has a big vision, but it is not a large centralised organisation with a big headquarters staff. We are not a large funding institution, charitable aid or evangelistic organisation; although our work may include aspects of these. Neither are we a traditional “western missionary organisation”. Rather, we operate in line with the message we have been called to proclaim – joining and partnering with other individuals, ministries and organisations to match needs and vision with resources and calling, as one Body in Christ. Our central leadership team is made up of the heads of all our ministry areas and the Regional Directors; men and women with a strong vision, leadership calling and anointing. Each not only has the responsibility and vision to develop the area of ministry or region to which the Lord has called them, but also to share with, encourage and build up one another in their work.

Together, the ministry leaders, Pastors, workers and local churches are Mainstream Ministries, each with a different job and ministry focus, but united in vision. Collectively we will reach out to other areas with the Gospel and a message of Christ-centred unity, love and encouragement; and partnering with other churches and ministries as the Lord calls and raises up those to do so.

Colossians 3:11-17 (CEV)

It doesn’t matter if you are a Greek or a Jew, or if you are circumcised or not. You may even be a barbarian or a Scythian, and you may be a slave or a free person. Yet Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.

God loves you and has chosen you as his own special people. So be gentle, kind, humble, meek, and patient. Put up with each other, and forgive anyone who does you wrong, just as Christ has forgiven you. Love is more important than anything else. It is what ties everything completely together.

Each one of you is part of the body of Christ, and you were chosen to live together in peace. So let the peace that comes from Christ control your thoughts. And be grateful.

Let the message about Christ completely fill your lives, while you use all your wisdom to teach and instruct each other. With thankful hearts, sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.

Whatever you say or do should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, as you give thanks to God the Father because of him.
