This past year has been an extraordinary time at Mainstream and way beyond anything that we could have imagined. Even More!

Over the past few months the Lord has been moving quickly and in amazing ways. He has brought us in contact with many new ministries in Africa, Pakistan and India. These are exciting events, and with them has come a major new sift in the work we are doing.
Because of this, we are planning to make a major trip next year to several countries in Africa and on to Pakistan and India. Lord willing we will be conducting Vision Conferences for Mainstream partners and associates, Leadership training conferences and outreach into many rural areas. A short time ago I received an email from Pastor Samuel Gunguta, our Ministry Partner in South Africa. He wrote to us shortly after returning to SA from a relief mission to Zimbabwe. Almost immediately, the scripture from Ephesians above came to mind.

We recently received the following word from Jane Francis Cheptegei Kipkorir, founder of King of Kings Restoration Ministries, our associate ministry in Uganda.
It is, I believe, a Word for the Church and every believer today – no matter what country they may be in. In the west in particular, with an increasing secular and humanist influence in our governments, the temptation to compromise the Gospel in order to not lose our jobs, charity status, etc., is becoming ever greater.

Fan the Flame! Mission UK 2009

Starting next week, Mainstream is pleased to begin a new phase in their calling, with Mission UK 2009. There is little doubt in the minds of any believers who have an eye on the news and an ear open to the voice of the Holy Spirit that there are radical changes in the world – changes that also herald a change in the spiritual realms as well as the natural.

How Real is our Joy and our Giving?

How do we give? When do we give? When do we give thanks? When do we give joyful praise to God?
Giving is an essential part of the Gospel. Throughout Scripture, and especially in the New Testament, we are instructed in the benefits of giving - beyond what has been called our ‘tithe’. It is the seed that brings blessing, when done with the right motives. We are to give whenever we see need and we have the means. (1 John 3:17; James 2:15-16)
