Let’s Work Together!

One of the joys of being a part of the Body of Christ is knowing that the Lord gave different gifts, abilities, talents and resources to every believer, church and Christian organisation, and spread them throughout the Church worldwide. By working together we can make best use of these God-given resources, which is the only way to be really effective in fulfilling the Lord’s command to make disciples of all nations. It is a blessing that we were never called to compete with one another, but to cooperate with one another so that the world will see Christ’s Glory, Love and Salvation.

On the following pages in this section we have set out the different areas of affiliation, partnership and cooperation. Below are just a few suggestions on how you might wish to join with us as an individual or an organisation in one or more areas of this ministry.

• Individual & Families:
  • As Mission Partners, sharing the vision and mission of Mainstream with others, and praying regularly for the ministry and those who work in it;
  • Sponsoring an orphan, a project, rural Pastor or Evangelist;
  • Going on a short-term mission;
  • Making a one-off or regular donation to any aspect of the ministry, or helping to raise money for specific projects or the general ministry;
  • Working in Mainstream, becoming a church representative, or as a project volunteer.

• Churches and Fellowships:
  • Partner with other churches in remote areas, sharing fellowship and helping support ministry;
  • Sponsor a project or part of a project such as setting up income generation projects, the Shalom Orphanage project, or supporting the work to stop female circumcision, or aid distribution;
  • Sponsor a Bible Study course for new pastors and leaders;
  • Host a missions conference or service;
  • Support a team for a short-term mission to our ministry regions.

• Businesses and Businesspeople:
  • Sponsor an income-generation project, or group of projects;
  • Provide your business expertise in helping to train people in various business skills;
  • Import and market fairtrade goods, crafts and products from our ministry regions;
  • Develop a business, market or product line specifically to support ministry work;
  • Sponsor and/or provide your expertise in helping to develop and market larger employment generating projects;
  • Provide services or products that can be used in ministry work and help offset costs or overheads.

• Ministries and Christian Organisations:
  • Partner with Mainstream in areas where we have a similar or complimentary vision and work for the development of specific projects;
  • Share expertise, practical resources and facilities such as web and internet presence, or office facilities, distribution, etc.
