Working in MCM

If you can relate to the work of Mainstream and its Affiliated Ministries, have a real desire to see God’s love brought to the world in word and practical ways, and have some time you can set aside for ministry work, then consider working with us.

Because our internal communications and office activities are mainly internet based we do not maintain expensive staff offices or headquarters. You could therefore work from home (or current office). To be able to do so you would need a newish computer, good, reliable broadband internet connection and telephone.

Currently no one draws a salary from the ministry. Everyone working in Mainstream is supported by their own sponsors, business activities or other sources of income. Therefore, should you wish to work with us, it would be necessary for you to secure whatever income you require. This may mean support from current or new business activities, support from your local church or individual supporters. Whatever your circumstances however, please Please Contact Us if you feel a calling and desire to work in this Ministry. The Lord is ultimately the one who provides for whatever He calls us to do, and it is in Him that we trust to show us the way to recieve it!

Administration

We need someone who has a good telephone presence, is familiar with using the internet (web, email, etc.), and experienced in office systems (ie. MS Office, etc.) on the computer. This position would involve both office administration and organisation and dealing with businesses, ministries, churches and individuals across the world by email and telephone. The hours you would work can be flexible, and fit in with other commitments you may have, although about 10 hours a week at least would be good.

Webmaster

Could you look after our internet servers and websites? You would need a working knowledge of WHM and CPanel; php script installation and modification; API set up for payment gateways (such as PayPal) and other applications; and the quirks and excentricities of email and servers. A working knowledge of some ecommerce scripts, and others like Moodle, Joomla and WordPress; as well as sites such as YouTube and similar media sites would be a benefit.

If this sounds like your skills, you have at least 10 hours a week to devote to this work and want to put your knowledge and skills to use for the Kingdom, then please contact us. (There is the potential of this becoming a full-time paid position should duties overlap with our business ministry activities).
