Ministries

We believe countries and societies are not changed for the better by conflict, governments by themselves or debate, but by the Love of Christ, shown by believers living and working together in unity.

Communities of all sizes, as well as individuals are changed by seeing the example of Christ-like living, both in word and action. People are brought to Christ, not by winning an argument, but presenting them with Christ, in a loving manner, through the way we live as well as what we say.

It is the Holy Spirit that convicts men of Sin and reveals their need of Christ; and it is though our example of really living a life of sacrificial love that the Holy Spirit can do His work.

It is by speaking the truth with love and compassion, standing up for justice, the weak and helpless, even in the face of persecution. It is not by showing contempt for a person or their beliefs, but showing them that it is only in Christ there is true freedom, true peace, true joy and true victory.

The above statement expresses the ethos behind our ministry, and is one seen within the life and teaching of Jesus himself.  These principles were the driving force behind the early church (as seen in Acts chapters 2 and 4), when they walked in miracles, were a community were no one was in need, and the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

It is a call to return to our “first love”, expressed in devotion to the Lord and to one another; a call the Lord is making to the Church worldwide today.

For Mainstream’s part of this global move of the Holy Spirit, the Lord has opened the doors to develop ministry within Africa, South Asia and the Asia Pacific.  He has brought together ministries and ministers of one heart and mind to bring this message of God’s Love and desire for unity within the Church within these areas, and then to prepare His people for mission, not only in their own area, but back to mission field of Europe and the UK.

On the following pages in this section you will find more information on our ministries, and those who have joined with us.
