Missions

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.”   (Luke 4:18-19 NIV)

Mission, whether it is talking to our neighbour in the house next door, or helping an orphan half way around the world is central to the Message of the Gospel, and what every believer has been called to do.  Listed here will be links to some of the major missions we have planned for Mainstream.  We will also be listing various opportunities for short-term missions, so keep this page bookmarked!

Mission 2010

“Fan into Flame the Gift of God”  (2 Timothy 1:5-7)
The Lord has given each one of us every gift and resource that we need accomplish all that He has called us to do – but is up to each one of us to stir up that gift of the Holy Spirit so that it becomes a roaring fire for the Lord.

Beginning in 2010 and continuing on, we will be developing a series of messages, videos, articles, internet and physical seminars on the theme of Fanning into Flame the Gift of God, stirring up the Spirit of God that is within each and every believer so that they can move fully in the mission and calling the Lord has given to each of us.

Additionally, in response to invitations to conduct Leadership Conferences, seminars, and outreach meetings from a number of ministries in Pakistan, India, Philippines, as well as our Central, Eastern and Southern Africa regions.  Already there has been a tremendous response to the preparations for these mission with interest from many countries, to conduct seminars for over 4,000 church leaders.
